Pachycephalosaurus was a dome head dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period .

Its name means dome-headed lizard. Its thick skull was used for ramming into predators, like the very famous tyrannosaurs. It was a herbivore and related to dracorex. It was 26 feet long and was preyed on by animals like Tyrannosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Also, the dome on its head, might have been a base for a large horn, and paleontologists think that is open for debate.  Although it was smaller than most of the Cretaceous dinosaurs, pachycephalosaurus was the largest pachycephalosaur. Pachycephalosaurus is a genus of pachycephalosaurid dinosaurs. The type species, P. wyomingensis, is the only known species. It lived during the Late Cretaceous Period of what is now North America
